Where will we take the pictures?
On the intake form that you will fill out to book your session, there is a question about what kind of setting you are envisioning. I have suggestions for rural settings (think tall grasses, trees, wildflowers), park settings (think manicured grass, park benches, flowers, maybe some nice architectural features), and urban locations (think brick walls, fun+colorful alleys, stairways) and am always happy to try out new locations if there’s anything you have in mind that I haven’t shot at before. I always want to make sure the location we choose is the best representation of your family and what you’re wanting to get out of the session.
For newborn sessions, I always go my clients’ homes. I love being able to come to you so you don’t have to get out of the house and so I can capture your family and new baby with the details of your home.
Travel within 30 miles (one way) from Kearney, MO is included in your session fee. Anything 30-100 miles from Kearney is a flat $25 fee. Please contact me for travel fees beyond 100 miles.
How long will the session last?
Mini sessions last about 20 minutes, standard sessions anywhere from 1-1.5 hours, and newborn sessions last about 3-4 hours. Standard sessions may go a bit longer if there are outfit and/or location changes.
When will my pictures be ready?
I will post a sneak peak on my Facebook page and/or blog within two days of the session and the whole gallery will be ready within approximately two weeks.
How will I be able to view my pictures?
Your pictures will be available to view on a password-protected online gallery for 7 days. You are welcome to share the gallery with friends and family so they can view and order any prints/digital files for themselves. If your order is not placed within 7 days, a $25 re-hosting fee will be applied to your order.
How long until I receive my prints/digital files?
After you submit your order, you will receive an email with a link to download any digital files purchased (usually right after your order is submitted, but may take a day depending on the size of the files). Your prints will be shipped or hand-delivered by me within approximately two weeks of your order.
Do you offer CDs or flash drives?
I sure do! I love the convenience of you being able to download the digital files you purchased to your computer immediately, but I do also offer to provide all the purchased files on a CD for $15 or a flash drive for $20. If purchased, these will arrive with your prints and will be in addition to the digital downloads.
Can I make prints from the digital files I purchased?
Absolutely, as long as it’s an 8X10 or smaller. Anything bigger than that I would like for you to order through me, as my computer is calibrated to my professional lab and you will be guaranteed to have the colors, saturation, and brightness professionally matched to how I edited the image. If you’re going to be spending the money on larger prints for your wall, you might as well make sure they look as perfect as possible, right?
Back to printing the images yourself – please be aware that if you go through a consumer lab like Wal-Mart, Walgreens, etc, your prints will very likely look different than you expect them too. A consumer lab that I do recommend is mpix. While the prints may still look a little different in color and such (since I do not calibrate my monitor to their prints), they are going to be a much better quality than the aforementioned consumer labs.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes! For every client you send my way you will receive $20 off your next session. Just make sure to tell them to put your name down as a referral when they fill out the intake form.
